Description
A solution to one of the most persistent and troublesome problems facing maintenance personnel – periodic coupling failure and the downtime and expense that goes with it. A new insert can be replaced in minutes without moving the prime mover or the driven equipment.
There are only 4 parts to the power stream coupling.
- The outer retaining with locking feature.
- The split wraparound insert which is made of specially compounded polyurethane that fits between the hubs.
- Two identical hubs that are made of high strength cast iron, cast steel or alloy with a number of teeth depending on the size.
The metal parts are corrosion treated. No lubrication or maintenance.
The hubs can rotate independently and there is no metal to metal contact, therefore no damage to the hubs if the insert fails. The coupling is supplied pilot bored allowing the user bore to size.
Couplings and spare inserts available ex stock Francistown.
